At Your Initial Dental Consultation
At your visit to the practice we not only check your teeth but also check the soft
tissues of the mouth and throat for any abnormalities, lumps and bumps. We also
need to find out exactly what result you are hoping to achieve. We have a variety
of treatments we can offer and these will be discussed and treatment options made.
A treatment plan, with full costings will be given to you at the end of your consultation.

What are Mini Implants?
The MDI system consists of a miniature titanium alloy implant that acts like the
root of your tooth. The top of the miniature implant protrudes through your gums.
Tiny caps are inserted into the underside of your existing denture- although sometimes
it may be advisable to have a new denture made. When you wear your denture, the
caps click onto the round head of the implant and securely hold your denture in
place.
"But I can't afford Implants"
If you have discussed implants in the past, and they were very expensive, there
is a good chance you did not discuss MINI dental implants. These are available at
a small fraction of the price of standard implants, and the procedure is much less
invasive.
How are Mini Dental Implants (MDI) placed?
Placement of the implants is accomplished quickly and easily in a process performed
by your dentist. The implant procedure appointment normally takes about an hour
or so, and the small caps can be placed into your existing denture. We will see
you again the next day or so to check how happy you are with your new smile, and
then it is time to book that restaurant!
"I have struggled for years when dining out with friends with the embarrassment of
my loose dentures. After the simple operation to have Mini Dental Implants I can
relax and enjoy my evenings, and eat the steak too".
"I work in sales, and travel long distances. The problem of loose dentures was a
real one for me as fixative only worked for so long... I now feel normal again".
